Tell us a bit about yourself. (You don't have to share anything you don't want to, but please write something here, so we know you're not a spam robot.)
Live near the banks of the Mississippi River in St. Louis, Mo. As Hamiett Bluiett the baritone saxophone player once said, "These fools think St. Louis is just the Missouri side, but it's East St. Louis and Illinois, too." So I kind of think of myself as living in the Missisippi River Valley, vs the city per se. Work as an editor at a regional magazine; currently very interested in Richard Mabey and Peter del Tredici's work on weeds and nature in urban environments, but because I grew up at the foot of a canyon in Salt Lake City, UT, I am a fan of all kinds of nature. Also read and read, esp. poets like Ronald Johnson (The Shrubberies, ARK), Jack Spicer, Olson, Creeley, Frank Stanford, WCW, Elizabeth Bishop.
What drew you to the Dark Mountain Project?
Here's to life, not death! That is, plants, animals, people, biomes, cultures, music, atmospheres.... vs. the culture of PR, spambots, GDP, gross national product, etc. Nice to see that there are other people who are weary of the world that's passing away, & trying to look towards new paradigms.

Hey there, thank you for the friend request! I had kind of forgotten I joined this site, receiving your friend request convinced me that I should get back to checking it out again. Hard to meet others in the ebb and flow of daily life who share the Dark Mountain type of perspective. Take good care! -Ed
