Join us this August for a one-day mini-festival of Dark Mountain discussions, workshops, readings and music in the Union Street Urban Orchard. Tell us a bit about yourself. (You don't have to share anything you don't want to, but please write something here, so we know you're not a spam robot.)
The BRAD eco-commune and border landscapes drew me to Mid Wales in the early seventies... and I never recovered. High in the hills where the Milky Way is not just another junk food, I've moved ever deeper in to Nature. Wild camping with my Earthwalks in the eighties, I got pretty good at reconnecting people.
Writing is a lifelong thread too, though the deep green thriller has yet to reach the shelves or screen.
And now, Instant Calmer: two nights and days, four guests: leave the crap, pass through the veil... meet Nature, be greeted and play. It heals and it helps. I've bright clothes, an Earthrise badge and dance barefoot. Let's meet at the festival.
"No Guru, no method, no teacher/ Just you and I and nature" sang Van Morrison. Would he pen Dark Mountain an anthem?
What drew you to the Dark Mountain Project?
The feeling that I would find fellow spirits with the insight, creativity and fun to imagine ways past this craziness.
