I have dirt under my fingernails and I've been to the dark mountain and back more than once. I've looked down where I stood and watched my tears falling, my loneliness aching. On one occasion, where I stood, there was nothing and I fell into the dark abyss. Falling, falling 'till there was nothing in me except the loneliness and a desperate cry in the dark, "God help me!" From that moment on there was no turning back from the inferno and new life!
I am a documentary filmmaker of 20 years and have:
Masters Applied Science Social Ecology UWS, Aust.
Grad Dip. Transpersonal Psychology, The Crucible Centre, Aust.
Diploma Therapeutic Massage
I am a husband, and father of a 4 yo girl and and as yet unknown soul due to come earth-side late Feb 2011. We're a home birthing family and will probably stay with Natural Learning for the kids and Unschooling for us parents.
My creative goals are to make films (docos or narratives, shorts of features) deepening and broadening my expression of Sense of Place - through my own stories and other peoples. Incorporating the Dark Mountain philosophy (which has been my own for a long time but never written so eloquently) into these films through words, vision, music. Portraying the landscapes of the soul.
