@William Haas, I'm in Canada, but will be in Canby the first week of October. Perhaps we could meet then and solve the world's problems?

Greetings from NorCal. Happy to find this group--I was getting a little envious of the Brits. Luanne, I have DM2 and enjoyed your essays. I can relate to your visitors: my dreams are on the Dark Mountain, but my existence is still (unfortunately) rooted in the suburbs. Be patient with us, we'll get there.

I will be in Hood River, OR,  the weekend of the 30th, and 1st and 2nd of October for hopsfest (mmmm, beeeeeer). Anyone in the area then?

Luanne - if you do put together an order, I would like to get both Dark Mountain 1 and 2. If it doesn't work out, I will suck it up and pay for the shipping myself. Thanks!

occupy wallstreet is spreading--something like a hundred cities have spontaneously started their own protests. occupy portland starts this friday at pioneer square. check out chris hedges' call to action: http://www.adbusters.org/blogs/adbusters-blog/best-amoung-us.html#.... as hedges says EITHER YOU JOIN THE REVOLT OR YOU STAND ON THE WRONG SIDE OF HISTORY. the train has left the station, my friends... http://occupyportland.org/
