London meetup - DIFFERENT VENUE THIS MONTH!

Event Description

This month, I'd like to propose a Dark Mountain London outing to the latest in the Scarcity Exchanges series at the University of Westminster - which is taking place on the first Wednesday of June, our usual meetup night.

http://scarcityexchanges04-eorg.eventbrite.com/

The event features Iain Boal and Lyla Mehta, both of whom have written very interestingly about the history of "scarcity" and how it relates to the converging crises of the 21st century. (Check out the interview with Boal on Anthony McCann's Beyond the Commons site.)

The Scarcity Exchange session starts at 6.30pm, so I suggest we meet from 5.30pm in the Prince Regent at 71 Marylebone High Street,
W1U 5JN.

Any difficulties finding us, call or text me on 07810 650213.

Great you are going to hear my old friend Lyla! I'll try and come along for the first part, unfortunately I'm booked elsewhere at 7.15

Thanks, Zoe! I just got hold of the book Lyla has just published, 'The Limits to Scarcity' - it looks excellent, hoping I'll have chance to delve into it before Weds. Look forward to seeing you!

What a good idea - drinks BEFORE a talk :-)

What a good idea - drinks BEFORE a talk :-)

Just as long as I don't end up staying out as late after this one as I did at the last event I went to in this series. There was an abundance - indeed a superfluity - of good company!
