Event Description

Last week's UNCIV meetup was another fine evening of conversations.

Admittedly, it got off to a slightly slow start, as some of us had been distracted by events at Tory party HQ. But that did give things a suitably JG Ballard feel.

The vaunted "facilitation" got little further than a gently-paced "go round" in which we introduced ourselves and talked about what led us to the Dark Mountain, before things dissolved to a wholly informal hang-out session. But that seemed to work just fine.

So, I'm looking forward to seeing people again this week. We'll be in the usual spot on the Fifth Floor at the Royal Festival Hall. Everyone's welcome to come join us, for a chance to meet other DM folk and explore the questions you might not have room to talk about in other parts of your daily lives. (Or tell us about the ways in which you are finding that room.)

It will be nice when you or "we" can have meet-ups and events in other cities and contries...on the mainland...somewhere...eventually.
